Coffee Pot Potpourri DIY

Coffee Pot Potpourri DIY

What does this do?
A quick way to make your home or office smell wonderful!

What do I need to do this?

Coffee maker (I used the Mr Coffee 12 cup coffee maker, found it in my garage. Can get a simple coffee maker from stores similar to Walmart for under $20). If you already have a coffee maker purchase a 2nd coffee pot for your potpourri coffee pot. I have a pot for coffee and a pot for potpourri.

Concentrated fragrance oil (I used Elegant Expressions Ocean Breeze (2 oz bottle). Available for about $2)

Basic tap water (Bottled water isn't needed because you wont be using the water to drink)

Instructions:

Fill your coffee pot to the maximum level allowed. For example, the coffee pot I use has 12 cups therefor I fill it with water to the 12 cup mark on the pot.

Next, pour water into the water reserve of your coffee pot. Then place the empty coffee pot on the burner with the coffee unit off. Pour a splash of concentrated fragrance oil into the coffee pot. No more than 2 teaspoons. If you want to make the scent stronger add more but be careful not to add too much which may cause an over powering smell. Finally, turn on the coffee machine and brew as if you were making coffee. Once the hot water from the water reserve comes into the potpourri coffee pot the aroma will fill your home!

I recommend getting a couple different fragrances for a variety of aroma that you can pick and choose. I have Fresh Laundry, Jasmine Sweetpea and Ocean Breeze. Each day I take turns in which scent to use.

Have a wonderful day!
